Learning Through Food
Cooking food is applied science. Prepping and measuring food involves math. Ways of cooking, growing, and preparing food has evolved with technology and engineering. Food has a direct impact on one's immediate and long-term health. The Let's Eat STEM program helps connect all these ideas (cross-cutting concepts) that are traditionally separated into class subjects, and shows students how STEM concepts are around us every day. And students get particularly excited about the program since they get to eat food at the end of their lesson!!
